Introduced in 1898 by the firm of V. Lemoine et fils, Nancy, France, and one of their productions.
Notes on plant in Arnold Arboretum (grown from cuttings taken in June, 1900, from plant received from Lemoine in April, 1900; no. 4605-I Arn. Arb.). Flowers double to semi-double, medium to large in size; corolla-lobes broad or narrow, pointed at apex; tone intermediate to pale; color in bud Hellebore Red to Tourmaline Pink (XXXVIII.); when expanded, the outer corolla Pale Laelia Pink (XXXVIII.), the inner corolla white without, white tinged with Light Lobelia Violet (XXXVII.) within. Clusters long, narrow, open, showy.

Бутоны фиолетово-красные; цветки светло-розовато-лиловые, в центре светлее, крупные (до 3 см), махровые (2 тесно расположенных венчика), душистые; лепестки широкоовальные, плоские, с приподнятыми кончиками. Соцветия из одной-трех пар широкопирамидальных, крупных (20х10 см) ребристых метелок с выступающими нижними разветвлениями. Кусты невысокие, компактные. Цветет умеренно, в поздние сроки.
